We met in college and were friends for several years before we started dating. We both played varsity sports in college and knew each other from the weight room. We had a class together and that started a flirtation which turned into a relationship. We dated for two years and David proposed the day after our anniversary.

Family is our priority. We have one biological daughter, Isabelle, who is 2 years old. She is such a loving, smart, sweet girl, and is excited to become a big sister. We spend a lot of time together as a family, and doing outings with family on the weekends. We are blessed with a strong church community and a large supportive family. We love doing seasonal outings and our annual beach trip to OBX. We are always looking for new things to do together as a family.

David's dad was in oil, so he grew up all over the world, but settled in Western PA in high school. David graduated with a bachelor's degree in business management and currently works as a biomedical technician on histology equipment. He is very handy and has put that to good use in our home. David also grew up playing a variety of sports and remains active playing sports in his free time and remaining physically active with his family. He also loves watching sports, reading, and keeping his yard in tip top shape. David has a very dry sense of humor and is incredibly caring and faith focused. He is an amazing husband and father.

Ashley grew up in Michigan, moved to PA for college, and stayed here after school. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in entrepreneurship and currently works in human resources and works from home. Ashley grew up playing sports and still loves to remain active whether it is working out or getting outside with her family. Ashley has a warm personality and is very social and friendly. Her priority is her family, and she is a wonderful wife and mother.

 

We are incredibly blessed to have a big loving family. David's family all lives within an hour of us. Rarely does a weekend go by when we are not together playing outside, watching sports, or meeting up for some family gathering. Isabelle is blessed with lots of cousins and second cousins who are close in age. Ashley's family lives in Michigan, but we still manage to see them once a month or so. Her parents come out to PA often and we go up to see them and her extended family. There is lots of love to go around and they are so excited for our journey through adoption.

We live in a three-bedroom home in the suburbs. It is a classic all brick house on over an acre of land. We live on a dead-end street and have a large backyard, deck, and lots of outside toys! We are also in walking distance from the high school track and stadium which we visit quite frequently.
