Meet Cord and Taylor
Hello, thank you for taking the time to look at our page! We cannot wait for the next chapter of our lives to begin by building a family. We hope that through this process you are able to see the love we have for each other, our families and our future child. We are so excited to become parents and welcome a child into our home and family. We have known we would adopt since before we were married. God had placed adoption on our hearts when we started dating in high school and we cannot wait to fulfill this journey.
We are high school sweethearts and met while running track in eighth grade. We got married in 2018 and have since been creating our life and home together. We both come from large families who live close to us that we see often. We graduated together from both high school and college. We love to cook dinner together while listening to vinyls, trying new restaurants, attending bible studies and exploring new parks when we take our dog for walks. We were friends before dating and have truly become each other’s best friend.
More than anything we want you to know that we will love your child unconditionally and will devote our lives to providing him or her with all the love, security and joy we can offer. We plan to raise him or her with an understanding and appreciation of the sacrifice you are making. This child will be loved beyond words by us, by our family, by our friends, and they will always know the great love you have for them as well.
Thank you again for considering us!
Cord & Taylor Leone
Our Beginning
We met in eighth grade while running track together and became friends. We started dating our senior year of high school and then got married in 2018. We have truly become each other’s best friend and feel that we have a strong relationship because we were friends for so many years before dating. We lived in an apartment until buying our house in 2019 where we currently live with our dog, Batman.
Our Lives Together
We both work from home and enjoy being able to finish our work days early. Typically, we spend the rest of our days working out, reading, walking our dog, exploring or finding new TV shows. We spend a lot of time together but always have since high school and it works well for us! On the weekends we enjoy taking our dog to new parks, visiting family and friends, trying new restaurants and finding new recipes to cook or bake. On Sundays we go to church where Cord plays guitar and Taylor teaches in the preschool room. We prefer experiences over gifts and always plan “adventure” days for our birthdays and other occasions instead of buying each other gifts. We both really enjoy traveling and set time aside each year to find new places to go. We want our children to experience different places in the world and see all of its beauty!
We rescued our dog Batman about eight months ago. Although he was severely abused before we got him, it took no time at all for him to feel at home. He has brought us so much happiness in a short time. He loves to fetch, play with squeaky toys and cuddle us. He does very well with kids also, our niece loves to climb on him and play. He is very gentle and loving, we couldn’t have asked for a better companion.
About Cord
Cord grew up in Latrobe, PA with his parents and younger sister and his grandparents right down the street. Cord earned his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Finance from Slippery Rock University in 2018 and has since been working as a Federal Government Contractor auditing hospitals. He truly has a passion for his career and enjoys the challenges that his job presents. He also enjoys his flexible schedule where he is able to work full time from home. Cord is a strong man of faith. He regularly attends Sunday services, bible studies and also plays guitar as part of the church’s worship team. Family is also extremely important to him and something he prioritizes. Cord enjoys spending time with family and friends, collecting and playing guitar, fitness, woodworking, cooking and meeting new people. Taylor admires Cord because he is hardworking, genuine, compassionate, always putting others before himself and a great dog dad!
About Taylor
Taylor grew up in Latrobe, PA with her parents, two brothers and two sisters. She has always been close with her parents and siblings and still sees them often. Like Cord, family is a priority to her and has always been a big part of her life. Taylor graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2018 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Finance. After graduating, Taylor also began working for a Federal Government Contractor that specializes in auditing hospitals. She truly enjoys her job and the flexibility in hours and full time work from home privileges that it offers. Taylor also attends weekly Sunday church services, bible studies and teaches in the preschool room at church which she really enjoys. Taylor enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking, fitness, reading, watching her nieces and exploring new places. Cord admires Taylor because she is selfless, great with kids, has a kind heart and is his best friend.
Our Families
Family has always been extremely important to both of us and we would do anything for them. Most of our immediate family lives between a half hour to an hour away. This has been great for us because we always have people to spend time with and who support us unconditionally. Taylor has four nieces from the ages of one to four who visit often so our future children will have a lot of cousins. Our child will be the first grandchild for Cord’s dad and he could not be more excited. Taylor’s parents cannot wait to welcome another grandchild and have always been so supportive of our decisions. We are both also very close with our grandparents and visit them often. Both coming from large extended families, it is always a blast when all of our family gets together for a special occasion. We really appreciate how our family is able to be a part of all holidays and birthdays.
Our Home
Our home is a ranch with three bedrooms, an eat-in kitchen and a finished basement on half an acre of land located in a safe suburb of Pittsburgh. There is plenty of room to play outside for our future children. We have a park and playground at the end of our street where we go often to take walks. After buying our house, we remodeled almost every room to give it a more modern look and “to make it our own.” The majority of the remodeling was completed by us, family and friends where we truly learned the definition of working together. We live next to Taylor’s Grandparents, whose support and love are never ending along with great home cooked meals by Grandma. We pledge to keep our home filled with laughter and hugs, adventures and new experiences, and most importantly unconditional love and affection.
