Who are we?

Adoption By Choice is a private, Christian, non-profit agency licensed by the state of Pennsylvania serving children, birth families, and adopting couples. Our focus is to minister to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our clients in our ongoing effort to protect and enrich the lives of children and families.

 We work in conjunction with the Women’s Care Center of Erie County, Inc. Extensive counseling is provided to young women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. Each of these women is encouraged to explore adoption as a viable option if she chooses not to parent at this time in her life. The birthparents are given the opportunity to design an adoption to meet their individual needs. This can include selecting and meeting the adoptive family, planning their hospital experience, and designing ongoing communication throughout their child’s life. Direct placement allows the baby to go directly from the hospital to the home of the adopting family.

Agency Staff

Adoption By Choice is staffed by two Co-Directors, an Administrative Assistant, and two per diem Adoption Caseworkers.
